OCBC Credit Cards

OCBC Credit Cards Charges

With exciting benefits, be sure that you do not pay unnecessary fees. Most of us get a credit card to save up on everyday needs.

Here are the fees OCBC charges their cardholders.

Interest on Purchases

If you fail to pay your credit card bills on time, there is a charge of 25.92% per annum. The minimum amount is $2.50 per month. The interest rate is charged based on the outstanding balance and not the amount of the purchased item.

Interest on Cash Advance

The interest rate is from the day you acquired the cash advance and not on the day after the bill’s due date.

The fee costs you 28.92% per annum or a minimum charge of S$2.50.

Minimum Monthly Payment

For accounts that did not exceed the credit limit, it will charge $50 or 3% of the Total Balance.

For accounts with outstanding due exceeding the credit limit, 3% of the Total Balance plus the amount in excess is charged.

Late Payment Charges

If you cannot pay even the required minimum amount, you will pay $80.

But if your card is NTUC Plus! Visa Credit Card, you will only be charged $60.

Cash Advance Fee

It charges $15 or 6% of the amount you withdrew. This fee is not part of the interest rate charged on the cash advance. That’s why you must only use this feature in an emergency. A cash advance could be your financial downfall.

Fees for Foreign Currency Transactions and Currency Conversion Fee

When you make a Foreign Currency Transaction, the amount is converted first to USD and then converted to SGD based on your card’s association (Visa/MasterCard). The respective card associations charge 1% of the foreign transaction amount. Also, the bank will charge an additional administrative fee (1.8%).
